Dorothy Starr Obituary

Dorothy Stauter Starr passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the age of 86. Dorothy was born on November 12, 1929 in Moss Point, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Starr; parents Charlsie Stauter and Gladys Stauter Classic; step-father Patrick Bernard Classic; brothers Rudolph ("Pinker") and William Stauter. Dorothy is survived by her only child Grace Starr; brother Charles ("Tom") Stauter; special cousin Susie Boykin and special friend Barbara Mayeaux and many other loving relatives. Dorothy loved to eat out, shop and spend time with her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. To view and sign the family guestbook, please visit www.lakelawnmetairie.com .
