Not sure what to say?

Mr Mann was one of my favourite teachers at school. He was always so supportive of any pupil who was willing to try hard no matter what their academic ability.

At school I was desperate to be a doctor but needed to well in chemistry and struggled. He was always so supportive, happy to give extra tutorials and there to push you to keep going when you wanted to give up!

I got my A, am now a doctor and don't doubt I couldn't have done it without you.

I hope you and your...

Mr Mann was one of the only teachers I felt like I could talk to not a day goes by where me and my friends don't think about how amazing he was

Rest in peace, mr mann. A kind teacher and a good man.

Mr Mann made my final year of high school enjoyable. His sense of humour and honest advice was always refreshing. He is in large part the reason why I stayed on to finish high school.

Mr Mann was my most supportive teacher. Chemistry was not my strongest subject but it was important for my application to uni. He backed me every step of the way and was always willing to give extra help or a motivational pep talk when I wasn't believing in myself. I was hoping to visit him when I graduated in the summer. This news was very upsetting, sincere condolences to all his family particularly his parents. I don't think I would be where I am today without the support your son gave me...

Mr Mann is a teacher who past and present pupils will not forget. He was a funny, caring and trustworthy teacher who made PSP a lot more manageable for our malleny class. He offered help with subjects outside of science and always expressed his care if we ever needed someone to speak to. Thank you for your hilarious and unforgettable stories and all the help you offered. One of Malleny's finest. Rest in peace and my deepest condolences.

Fond memories from the time you were born, through childhood and adulthood, memories of you learning the trombone will never be forgotten. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you. Now at peace. Our thoughts are with you, Ian and Sheila, at this time and always. Ray and Dorothy, Southampton

Mr Mann is one of those teachers that pupils remember for the rest of their lives. My son and daughter had a great rapport with him at Balerno, where he always treated them with respect, and found the time to share a joke, usually about rugby.
Sometimes, I would have the pleasure of his company on the side lines watching the school rugby team. We would reminisce about great Scottish and Welsh teams of the past, and it was obvious that he was interesting, knowledgeable and funny. I bet...
