Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to learn of Ed´s death. He was a year ahead of me at Collegiate and although I only came to the school in 1968, I discovered what a thoughtful and respectful person Ed was. I had the privilege of playing football and, if my memory serves me correctly, basketball. I remember him starting JAMAA. He also had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He will be missed. Blessings to Tim, Brandon, his mom and the rest of the family. Bob Stewart, Class of 1970

Single Memorial Tree

I was a classmate at Collegiate! Learned of Eddy's passing via a Collegiate missive.... I remember him as thoughtful and bright, and a leader in our class of '69

we made eye contact a million times over the years, but just a month or two ago, when our eyes met, he winked at me for the first time ever . what a loss for our community. heartbroken... I'll miss him.

i am truly saddened to learn that we have lost ed, who was probably my earliest friend at collegiate, and my best to all of the family. would be glad from hear from kid brother tim on the road ed took after he left nyc in the mid 70's

I have known Ed for the last 25 years and I spoke with him often on the Pearl Street Mall. He was a good man and I will miss him dearly. My condolences to the family. He was one of the kindest men I ever knew.

Thanks to you all for your kind thoughts and memories. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet and talk with you at his August 23 Memorial (also his birthday). He was a special man.

I have been thinking a lot about Eddie this past month. This must be why. He is the friend that got away. His picture and thoughtful obit made me smile. I am going to make every effort to get out to Colorado for his service. With a smile through the tears, Much love, Jamie

We used to speak early morning on my jog along 13th St. He was warming himself in the early morning sun after another night sleeping outside. I remember his chill vibe and an openness to engage... not to mention his bright eyes and kind smile.
