Not sure what to say?

My brother Paul, who died in 2013, sister Nancy, and I were all loved by our Aunt Nen, sister to my mother. She will always remain in Nancy and my hearts with love, and our minds with laughter.

Rest peacefully Eleanor, I will never forget your days at Winchester!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I will always, and fondly, remember "Aunt Nan" on our childhood vacation trips to Pelican Lake in Minnesota. My sincere condolences.

To Becky, Sally, Mary and your families: Will miss Mrs. Worthen ("Nan" / "Eleanor") very much. Just knowing she was there on Garfield Avenue kept many special memories alive, since I grew up next door. She was one of my mother's best friends and she would often pop over for a friendly chat, recommending a good book title, share a funny joke, and they would update each other on friends and family members. Her laughter was contagious and always made me smile when I heard it. Our family...

She was my neighbor for my whole childhood life. Always such a sweet and welcoming woman. I spent so much time at her house with her daughter Mary growing up. It felt like a second home to me. She will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family during this time.

My prayers go out to Becky, Sally, Mary, and their families! Eleanor will be remembered in my great memories of her, she will be truly missed in days to come!

To Mary,Becky,Sally & all the kids, Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Your Mom lived a very full life. Mary & Ethan you should be so proud of yourselves for loving your mom so much and giving her such great care for all those years. You both showed your mom(Grandma) unconditional love & kindness. No one knows how very hard that was for you two, but you made sure she was always taken care of and happy. May you Rest In Peace Mrs. Worthen. God Bless You & the family.

Here is what I remember about my Aunt Eleanor, as they come, and in no particular order.

First, she was there alongside me at the side of my mother's hospital bed for hours on the day before her sister Lucille died in 2007. Second, she opened her doors for years to her family when in need. Third she and my sister Nancy delighted in each other's company and set regular dates for shopping outings. Fourth, whenever I was able to visit, she traveled easily and freely into her past...

My condolences Mary and all your family on your Moms passing.
