Ernest "Coach" "E.W." Foy

Coach Foy was an excellent basketball mentor who always had an air of equanimity about himself. He guided BRHS to a state championship in 1968.
Best wishes to his loved ones.

I first had "Coach" for phys ed at BRJH and then later at BRHS. Always had a smile on his face and made that part of schoool fun!

Coach Foy was a great coach and better man. I know he will be greatly missed.

I met with Coach Foy at BRJH where he coached BB and assisted Archie Paul I the other sports. We went to BRHS IN 1963 where he was BB coach and well liked for his personality as well as his BB teaching ability. Back in the days when the paddle was still used, he used to ask, "Want me to use right hand or left hand!" Oops- it was a trick; he was left handed! He help coach JV football at BRHS and helped with the Varsity as needed.
Coach Foy had eternal values and you knew where he stood...

Always had a positive supportive word for his athletes. Everybody appreciated Coach Foy. He was a champion with us at Baton Rouge High in 1965. Salute'

I was glad to have you Coach me at Baton Rouge High School. You will always live in my heart and prayers.

You were a good man Coach Foy; I enjoyed playing for you. I only wish I had listened to your advice. Rest easy my friend.
