Ernest Lageson

Many years ago i visited Alcatraz and had thehonour of meeting Mr Lageson. I bought his book Battle at Alcatraz and chatted to him. Ive always been interested in native American indians . He was a delight to talk to. Sadly i didnt read the book until now but I wish I had then i could have thanked him myself. Wishing his family love. Xx

I met Ernie over twenty years ago while I was volunteering on Alcatraz. Not only was he a wealth of information about this mythical place but was more than happy to have a pleasant conversation about almost anything under the Sun. My teacher parents, Janice & Clarence Fornwald, were friends with Ernie's parents in Pittsburg. His Mom was a wonderful teacher at my elementary school.
