Not sure what to say?

sorry for your loss Debbie..remember me from school..mary deford. I was just talking about you the other day. hope all is well with you

Etta was my Nursing Supervisor at Mercy Hospital and then Bay Medical Center. She was small, but mighty. She fully supported her staff and would stand up for them ferociously when they were right. Not all Supervisors do. She always had our back. I admired, loved, and respected her so much. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Such a loss to the Nursing community. Another one of the "Old Guard" has left us. She was one of a kind and extremely dedicated to the patients and staff. She refused...

Michelle and family: Sorry for your loss . Your mother was a kind soul but as a previous writer noted, she took no B.S. when it came to managing the house. I am proud to say that she was one of my mentors in during my nursing career. I had the pleasure of working along side her as afternoon supervisor years ago. Of all the things I learned from her, the most important was to care not only for the patient and the patient's family but also to for the care givers. She will be missed. ...

I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Etta many times, She has definately left this world a better place with her kind loving spirit...I think of her often, Bless her heart, Rest in Peace Friend.

Michelle, and family. I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. What a woman she was. I loved her spirit, smile, laughter and straight forward way. She took care of her patients and her nurses with a no BS, yet almost playful attitude. I loved that. She had such a unique way of understanding people and reading situations, and would be spot on. I suspect she left you all with some very interesting memories. Thinking of you and your family at this time.

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) With heartfelt sympathy.

Always enjoyed seeing Etta's beautiful smile. Prayers to the family.

Mrs. Karr was the best nursing supervisor I ever had at Mercy hospital and Bay Med. She not only cared about the patients but also her staff. She was one of a kind.
My sympathies to her family.

I first met Etta as a high school senior when I became a nurses aide at Bay Medical Center through the co-op program. She was always so kind, understanding, and patient, and made a wonderful impression on me. That was almost 39 years ago and I still often think of her. I'm so sorry for your loss.
