Not sure what to say?

TO the Amos family: and to Brenda and Gregg ," I was sorry to hear of loss of Gene Amos. We just found out this past week of your great loss. He was a great friend to my mother-in-law, Velma Bogina, who we just buried 9/9/09. He was so patient with Velma, helping her make her plans, (she had alzheimer's). He will be truly missed by all." Vicki Bogina, Olathe, KS.

I was sorry to hear of Gene's death. I enjoyed hearing him in Genealogy Society when he spoke about his book.
I remember Joanie in my Sunday School class at OPCC. and I treasure the needlepoint towels her mother made for me as a Christmas gift.
Blessings,
Virginia Stuhr

To the family of Gene Amos,
I was sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Amos. Your family has always been with many of the families in the Shawnee Mission area during times of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. He will be missed.

God Bless You,

It's hard to think of baseball in Shawnee without thinking of the years we spent cheering for the Amos Family team. What a great sponsor we had. A good man will be sorely missed by our family.

Saddened to hear of Gene's death. He was the epitome of what all good men should strive to be. A loving and caring spouse and father and one who cared deeply about his community. I doubt that Shawnee will ever see anyone quite like him again. He influened the lives of so many people in such a great way. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the pleasure of working with Gene a couple years ago when he was writing Tales of the Preacher and the Undertaker. I actually typed the book for him and had wonderful meetings with him on the editing and format. He was so charismatic and just a joy to be around. I never saw him without a smile on his face. He was a lovely person and will most surely be missed by the Shawnee community and all who knew him. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mrs. Amos and the entire Amos Family.

Want to express deepest sympathy on behalf of the Gower family. Gene was so helpful throughout all our losses. He will be sorely missed.
