Always enjoyed Gene's jokes and he always made our office light up when he would come in. Awesome Godly Man that will be missed.

Gene was a good friend when we were kids. We both moved away from our childhood homes and, consequently, saw very little of each other in our adult lives. We had a lot of fun playing softball at the Rosedale ball field. Gene struck terror in the minds of the opposing teams. He was so fast that they rarely got him out. He was fun to be around. We will miss him.

Had a lot of fun growing up with Gene in a small community of Rosedale just west of Bakersfield. We attended the same church with about a dozen other guys our age, and played together most Sunday afternoon what ever sport was in season at the time. As we became driving age we often would take our pickup trucks and drive through the oil fields to explorer.
