Florence B. Goss April 11, 1920 February 23, 2014 Florence B. Goss, 93, of State College, died Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte. She was born April 11, 1920, at Potters Mills, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Hattie Henry Leister. She married Earl Goss in Hagerstown, Md. on February 12, 1937, who preceded her in death in August of 1972. Early in life Florence worked at the Arrow Shirt Factory in Lewistown, and later in the Food Service Division at Penn State until 1972. Mrs. Goss loved being with people and especially enjoyed playing Bingo. Surviving her are two daughters, Jean M. Lohr, of Centre Hall and Tandy Stewart and her husband, Robert, of Goldsboro, N.C.; one son Blaine Goss and his wife, Reubina, of Greenville S.C.; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Sylvia Harper, of Mifflin. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Meda Wray, Verna Laub, Frances Amspacker, William, Eugene, Lewis, Bryce, Clifford, George and Harold Leister. Friends will be received from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, P. C., 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, PA. The funeral will follow immediately at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Scott Klimke officiating. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Route 550 Bellefonte, PA. In lieu of flowers, contribution in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
