Dear Gaetane and Greg,

I apologise for not being able to be with you and your family at this time. You know that I thought of Florence as the grandmother I never had and loved her very much for the sweet, special lady she was. I looked so forward to spending time with her and found myself wishing I had known her even before her illness. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your Mom's life.
