CLAYTON, Frank Daniel, Jr., "FD," 77 of Varina, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012. Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie; and his brother, Tommy. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen E. Clayton; his children, Frank D. Clayton III (Cheryl), Michael A. Clayton (Barbara) and Sabrina Clayton Nelson (Shawn); six grandchildren, Steven, Anna, Ashley, Raven, Courtney and Gunnar; two sisters, Delores "Dee" Cooper and Gloria Williams. He was Past Commander of the Sandston American Legion Post #242 and a member of the 11th District. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231. where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Interment Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1120 "G" Street, NW, Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20005 or www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
