Mr. Franklin A. "Butch" Adams, age 79, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 27, 2015, at a local healthcare facility.
Mr. Adams was born in Texas Valley, Georgia on November 28, 1935, son of the late Hoyt Adams and the late Lillian Cargle Adams.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Barbara Faye Sprayberry, by a sister, Edna Yarbrough, and by a brother, Horace Adams.  Mr. Adams was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.  He retired from the Federal Aviation Department in 1994.  
Survivors include a son, Greg Adams and his wife, Karen, Taylorsville; "Paw Paw's Little Buddy", Landon Adams; a sister, Sara Wood, Rome; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.  Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 6 until 8pm.  At other hours, they will be at their respective residences.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
