Freda Dyer

Funeral services for Freda Dyer, age 70 of Littlefield will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Crescent Park Church of Christ in Littlefield with Eric Dickey officiating and Jamie Wooton, pastor, assisting. Burial will follow at Littlefield Memorial Park under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield

Mrs. Dyer passed away at 2:20 P.M. on Sunday, April 27, 2003, at her residence in Littlefield following an illness. She was born on December 2, 1932 in Fieldton, Texas. She married Curtis Dyer on January 12, 1948 in Portales, New Mexico. She moved to Littlefield in 1967 where she owned and operated the Travel Center Café until her retirement in 1996. She also sold Avon cosmetics for 5 years and had attended South Plains College in Levelland. She was very active with the Olton Schools and was a PTA member there. She was a member of the Crescent Park Church of Christ in Littlefield.

She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis on October 18, 1967, a brother, Fred Shipley in 1994 and a sister, Lou Ellen Shipley in 1922.

She is survived by: one daughter, Eulinda and Husband Doyle of Littlefield; three brothers: Elvis Shipley of Lovington, NM, Carlos Shipley of Lubbock, and Carlee Shipley of Stanton, TX; three sisters: Lorene Gilbert, Levina Parrot, and Lucille Vaughn all of Littlefield; one grandchild, Tracy and Wife Stephanie Gage of Littlefield; two great grandchildren, Dillon and Dakota Gage of Littlefield, ten nephews, and nine nieces.

The Family suggests Memorials to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Pallbearers will be: Willie Jennings, Carrie Patridge, Jeffrey Green, Shane Mayes, Brian Green, and Gary Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be: James Jennings and Bo Jennings.
