Sadly I announce that Rick passed away peacefully, this morning September 5th, 2017. He will be missed so much by those he loved and those that loved him. His children and their families: Matthew (Fran), Kyla, Hailee, and Jameson. Dennis (Charmaine), Gavin, Lucas, and Derick. Kimberly (Anthony), Bradley, Christian, Milayna. Christine (Marshall), Camryn, Elijah. Carrie Ann and Zoey. Also his friends and his colleagues at his beloved Techaire Systems. But mostly by me. He loved his machines and passionately worked to provide for his family. He served God by using his many talents to help anyone in need, be it helping a stranded motorist, running out in the middle of the night to repair a broken furnace, or just giving advice to an apprentice. We will be celebrating his life on Saturday September 9 at The Campus Church, 14430 Bathurst Street, Aurora. At 1:00. Come from 12:30 - 1:00 for visitation with family or stay later for reception. There will be a private, family interment in the morning. Donations made to the Alzheimer Society or Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family

Rick was a childhood friend of mine. His love of cars and boats were what we had in common. When I heard of Rick's passing so many stories about him came to mind like when we were at the main drag in Wasaga Beach he bet me he could eat more egg rolls than me. He was right he ate 16 to my 13. Or the time we went to the drive in at Wasaga. I drove my car over the mound to get the speaker and ripped the exhaust apart. Rick climbed under the car ripped his belt off his pants and reattached the exhaust. It did the trick accept for burning leather all the home.
Rick and I grew apart as we got older, family, business but what I regret most is not reconnecting with him. We had so much fun together.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Rick was a great man and a good friend to me as well. He took me under his wing and taught me all the tricks of the HVAC trade. We also had some great times together. Others scary , and some just downright strange. Nothing surprised us when we were together. After finally retiring , he was supposed to relax and enjoy his life. God obviously had other plans and needed Rick to be with Him. May he always remain with us all.....in our hearts and minds. Prayers for all of Ricks family and friends. God Bless.
