Gabriel James Lakey

Gabriel James was born December 21, 2011 at 7:55 am in Las Vegas, NV. On December 14th 2015 Gabriel and his mommy were traveling Highway 93 to go see family in Homedale for the Holidays when another vehicle hit them head on. Gabriel lost his life at the scene just a week before his 4th birthday. Gabriel was an only child and an only grandchild. He had a smile that could light up the room and a laugh that could heal any broken heart. He loved the stars and the planets and would run outside every night saying "mommy I catch a star?" He loved McDonalds Happy Meals with Chicken Nuggets, French Fries and a Coke and his favorite place to play was Discovery (Dinosaur) Park in Las Vegas. Gabe loved going to the movies and his narrations always made everyone smile. He was full of life and was just learning to draw and write in school. He loved watching videos on YouTube and playing outside in the dirt. He will be loved and missed by so many. He is survived by his Mother Kristina Lakey; his Grandmothers Brenda Lakey and Brenda Metcalf; his Grandpas Kenneth Lakey and Michael Metcalf; his Aunts Nikki Lakey and Melody Ripsom; his Uncles Zach Lakey and Robert Metcalf; his Great-Grandpas and Great Grandmas; and his second cousins Nicole and Matthew.
