Not sure what to say?

I have nothing but fond memories of Gary! From putting me on his shoulders to shoot the basketball in the net, to many holiday celebrations, and teaching at school in junior high and high school! My condolences to Christy, Zach and family and friends who will miss him

Such sad news. So so sorry to hear this... When I went to visit Zach's over 10 years ago from Europe, Gary was so welcoming... he gave me his Cal cap as a sign of friendship. I still keep and treasure this cap today after so many years and travels. All my thoughts are with Zach and family.

I was sorry to hear of Gary's passing. Christy, I enjoyed working with both of you. Kathy and I extend our condolences to you your family. Gary did a lot of good for his students and colleagues and was appreciated by many.

So sorry to hear about Mr Blain. He was my favorite history teacher and is part of the reason I love history so much. I was lucky to have him at both ponderosa and KU. My favorite memory of Mr. Blain was in 8th grade when I told him I was going to go to Rocky Mountain National Park for a week with my family and needed to know what class work I should do while I was gone. His response was "you should enjoy your trip, just send me a postcard and that should be good". When I got back he had put...

Gary was a great friend! He and I were worked together for many years. I always enjoyed his story telling and his great laugh! I also enjoyed working with Christy for many years and enjoyed watching son Zach travel and teach around the world. Gary was a great guy with a great family. You are missed by many.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Mr. Blain was one of my History teachers at Ponderosa and I took Speech from Mrs. Blain at KU. They were both wonderfully caring and intuitive teachers. My most sincere condolences to the family. Would love to be in contact with Mrs. Blain when the time is right: [email protected]

I wish I had words to fill your hearts the way that yours had done for me so long ago. I know I knew Gary, because my soul seemed to lite up seeing his face. I pray that's how joyful you feel thinking of him brings to you.. Bless you and your family.

Our deepest Sympathy to you dear Christy and Family, from your former neighbours. We were shocked when we read the sad news this morning. Please let us know your new address.

I extend my sympathies to the family. While I didn´t know Gary, Christy was my speech and debate coach at KU in the 1976-77 school year, and had an influence on my entire life for the experience of that year on that team. Peace to you.
