Not sure what to say?

I think of Dr. Merritt every time I pass the dental office.

DR merritt was a wonderful person and a great dentist. We miss him and I am sure his beloved dogs miss him too.May he rest in peace.

We just heard of Gary's passing. It was a real shock. We have not kept up over the years, but recall times we were together. We pray for his family. James and Connie Martin

Going to the dentist was like going to see family you hadn't seen in a year, Dr. Merritt will be missed. I pray God will give peace and comfort to his family and his office family.

Condolences to the Family for the untimely
passing of Gary. I will fondly remember my Friend's sense of humor and a kind Gentleman that you just liked being around.

Sincerely,

Glen R. Adkins

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Merritt's passing. Gary was my dentist when I first moved to Gainesville. He then became my wife's dentist when we got married and has been the only dentist our two teenage boys have ever known.

Dentistry to him was an art, a craft at which he excelled. As others have mentioned, he also had a wonderful dry wit. I never left my chair without a smile on my face after talking to him. He will be sorely missed by us all.

Words cannot express how sad I am. Not only was Gary my dentist for over 25 years, but I considered him a great friend.

Gary was so much fun to give a hard time to, he was quick on his feet and could come back with something funny in a given moment.

Gary's work ethic was certainly to be admired. It was an art to him.

I will surely miss him.

Words can't express how sad our hearts are about Dr. Merritt's passing. I've been going to him at his practice for 29 years. Jerry and I thought the world oh him. We will sure miss him.
