George Vargas born April 16, 1948, in Vieques, Puerto Rico went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2022, at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, Obdulio Vargas Rivera and Concepcion Conchita Ramos Quinonez.
He is survived by his sons, Jorge Vargas Garcia, Gerson G. Vargas Garcia and wife Valerie, and Jonathan Vargas Garcia; brother, Obdulio Vargas Ramos and wife Norma; sister, Hilda Vargas Ramos; and numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:45 AM in Shelter #5.
