NEW LONDON -- Geraldine "Gerry" Julia (Golomb) Peterson, 80, of 40 Hilltop Placedied Sept. 8, 2010, at Woodcrest Village Courtyard Memory Care Facility in New London after a long bout with Alzheimer's disease.

Mrs. Peterson was born Sept. 18, 1929, in Elizabeth, N.J., the daughter of John and Julia Golomb.

Her family includes her husband of 61 years, John L. Peterson of New London; three sons, William P. Peterson of Middlebury, Vt., Robert A. Peterson of Surry and Richard C. Peterson of Minot, Mass.; a daughter, Jennifer L. Peterson of Berea, Ky.; six grandchildren; and a brother, John R. Golomb of Ocean View, Del.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours or services.

Chadwick Funeral Service of New London is assisting the family with arrangements.
