Our beloved mother, Gladys E. Haverstick, went home to be with Jesus on October 26, 2025, at the age of 92.
Gladys was born on October 30, 1932, and was the daughter of Cecil and Edith Humbert. She attended West Lampeter Township High School. She grew up on their family farm and the joy of working outside stayed with her throughout her life. For many years, she maintained a large, beautiful garden and seeing her on her riding mower, well into her 80s, was a familiar sight.
Gladys was married to the late Stanley S. Haverstick for 58 years. She is survived by 2 children, Ricky Haverstick (Susan) and Sandra Keller (Steven). She has 4 grandchildren, Abby Finger (Dustin), Rebecca Steiner (David), Crystal Reinoehl (Richie) & Adam Keller (Emily), and was blessed with 9 great-grandchildren, who adored their G.G. She loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook and hostess.
Gladys worked at Schick Mfg., Hamilton Watch and stood on Central Market for many years for R. P. Howry Meats.
She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Garber, of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil & Edith (Keefer) Humbert, sisters Geraldine Gochenauer and Marie Herr.
