My daugthers, Valerie and Vanessa, twirled with her Daborettes for several years before we left Laredo in 1981. They loved her and fondly remembered all the practices, trips and parades. My condolences on your loss. Though I do not recall meeting your mother, I felt as though I've known her all my life, from the stories that my late mother, Esther, told of her. The joys she felt as she watched her daughters, my siblings, learn to twirl and march in the parades. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.

My deepest condolences go to the Dabdoub family. Gloria was truly the heartbeat of the City of Laredo for so many years. She influenced so many young ladies through her twirling lessons, and gave them an opportunity to contribute to the City through participation at the Washington Birthday Celebration.
