Gloria L. Wendt

Gloria L. Wendt of Winter Park, FL received her crown of life on January 28, 2014. She was born April 30, 1929 in Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She married her high school sweetheart and Navy serviceman, Fred Wendt in 1946. They moved to Groveland, FL in 1950. They moved to Ocala in 1964 and to Winter Park in 1968. She was always active in her church life, teaching Sunday School, vacation Bible School and weekday classes. She had a deep love of animals and rescued and gave homes to many creatures. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Fred Wendt, daughter, Annette Wendt, daughter, Gladys and son-in-law, Paul Foust, son, Glen and daughter-in-law, Nancy Wendt and grandchildren, Jennifer, Emily, Eric and Sara Beth Wendt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria's name to St. Luke's Lutheran School & St. Luke's Church Music Department. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 9:30-10AM with Memorial Service at 10AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Oviedo, FL.
