Gordy Martin

Surrounded by family, Gordy passed away at O'Connor Hospital on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.

Beloved brother of Kenneth Martin and Jo Ann Martinez; Brother-in-law to Michael Martinez and Elena Martin; Uncle to Tammy DaSilva (Brian), Deborah Martinez (David), Denise LoForti (Ron), Jeremy Martin (Rosemary), Joshua Martin; Great Uncle to Michael LoForti, Nicholas LoForti, Miranda Cherrison, Kaila Martin, Dominic Martin. He will also be missed by his many cousins.

Gordy is preceded in death by his father Joseph P. Martin and mother Mary C. Martin.

He was a native of Santa Clara and so proud of it. He was a student at St. Clare's grammar school and thereafter attended Santa Clara High School. After high school, Gordy joined the Army National Guard where he was SGT in the Artillery Unit.
Gordy worked for the Martin Family business - "Martin's Super Market". He worked for the family business from his grade school days to 1990, when the business closed.

There are no words that can express how much he will be missed. But, knowing he is now with his many family members who went before him, gives his family great comfort. As expressed by a young, wise family member, " We have another guardian angel watching over us."

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude's.
