GREGORY "GREG" CLYDE
JOHNSTON, 64

HAINES CITY - Gregory "Greg" Clyde Johnston, 64, of Haines City, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2014, at Lake Wales Hospital due to recurrent cancer.
Greg was born on December 3, 1949, in Mobile, AL to the late Clyde Dickerson and Betty (Bryan) Mattox. Mr. Johnston has been a resident of the Haines City area most of his life.
Greg was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Johnston, his father Clyde Dickerson, and his step-fathers, Clyde Johnston and Pete Mattox. Greg is survived by his mother Betty Mattox, sons Douglas Johnston, and Shawn Johnston (fiancée Samantha Wilson), daughter Amber O'Connor (Michael), brothers Carlos Parrish (Lynn), Mark Ginn (Tammy), and sister Brenda Owens (Bobby). Grandchildren: Miranda Johnston, Brittani Johnston, Clayton Johnston, Cole Johnston, and Robert O'Connor. Greg also leaves behind four great grandchildren.
A memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 13, at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Central Ave., Winter Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
