Read MoreFred was my first boss at Goldman Sachs when I joined the firm in 1971 and he had an enormous impact on many of my generation of bankers. I left in 1988 and much to my delight many years later my spouse and I found ourselves sitting next to Fred and Emilia at Roberts in Water Mill. It was great to catch up and he still had that distinct smile we all remember. He will be greatly missed. Our sympathy to his family.
