Read MoreI will miss Harriet. She was so much fun to visit the few times I got as far east as IL. If it hadn't been for Harriet, there would still be over 100 unidentified pictures in my gr grandmother's, Rose Hyland Cropsey, photo albums. She had such a wealth of family history knowledge and was so willing to share. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for family history helped tie all the photos, letters, and heirlooms my mom had together.

Almost 10 years have passed since Harriet left Plainfield, but she has remained a cherished friend to so many in the community. Her letters were always delightful reminders of the special personality she shared with everyone. She gave so much time and perspective to the Plainfield Historical Society and so many other groups. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.
