Not sure what to say?

Harris and Ros were terrific teachers of both art and spirit. I spent many beautiful days and nights at their summer place in Maine and though I was an art education major, they involved me in their Zone experimental theater, and the artistic films that Ros produced for WGBH. I will always remember their generous hospitality at their home in Brookline, where I sometimes stayed for supper, then overnight and then breakfast. Lively discussions on art and intellectual pursuits permeated each...

Dearest Matt, thank you for being so persistent in locating us. Just days ago I felt a strong need to connect with your dad. I had been working on a death mask of Ernie Chase which made my mind wander to Harris. I had wanted to tell him of George Germone's passing three years ago.

Harris and your mother treated me as family during the Zone years. I was made to feel so special by both of your parents. I remember being the only student allowed...

A classmate of Harris, we were members of the first class to graduate with a Ceramics major from Mass Art,
I enjoyed his easy-going manner and respected his talents and technical ability in ceramics. I am not surprised that his life was filled with a variety of accomplishments.

My best wishes to the family of a great man. Clay Fernald, SIM 98

Condolences. I was a SIM major, graduated in 1983, and still use the things I learned from Harris in my daily work. Thank you!

My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. May your treasured memories and the drawing close to God in prayer help comfort you in your time of sorrow. Jeremiah 29:12, 13

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy; I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2.

May the God of hope give you a measure of peace and comfort in this truly difficult time. Romans 15:13.

Harris was my first cousin. Spent to summers with him in the mid 40's at Trip Lake Maine. Lost contact but was always proud of his accomplishments.
