Harry E. Hambley, 74, of Park Street, Attleboro, passed away on July 28, 2010 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Ethel (Arruda) Hambley.
Born in Fall River on May 14, 1936, he was a son of the late Harry and Agnes (Nolan) Hambley. Harry was educated in Fall River schools, was a graduate of Durfee High School, and attended Bristol Community College. Harry served his country proudly in the US Air Force from 1954-58.
Harry worked at the Foxboro Company and as a counselor at Norcap, where he enjoyed helping others. In earlier days he coached Little League Baseball, pre-teen football, and CYO Basketball at St. Johns Parish.
Harry is survived by a son; Brian Hambley of Pennsylvania, a daughter; Lisa Hambley of Taunton, two grandchildren; Tara and Brian Hambley, and a sister in law; Irene Hambley of Chicopee.
Harry was the brother of the late Kenneth Hambley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service with full military honors on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 1:30 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, McArthur Boulevard, Bourne. Arrangements are under the direction of the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
