Not sure what to say?

Heidi was my mentor, a member of my doctoral supervisory committee and a key influence in the formation of my identity as a science educator. She lives on in my life and teaching as I find myself using some of the very ideas, phrases, and assignments she gave me. We are poorer for her passing.

May her soul rest in peace as we, her students, remember her!

My association with Heidi was through Alan who has already written. Heidi and I shared many interests in landscape gardening with unusual and exotic plants and taking great delight at even minimal successes. Preparing gourmet meals were often a greater success! Her graduate parties were always extra special from which we have wonderful memories. Heidi obviously was a catalyst and mentor in the many ways to lead a full and interesting life! We are grateful to have shared these time together.

DR. Heidi Kass was a mentor for me and highly instrumental in my life and graduate studies. She possessed a brilliant mind and inspired so many throughout her career.
Her contribution to Science Education was immense and she will be sorely missed.

Alan Wheeler, PhD

Dr Heidi Kass was an amazing woman and will be missed by all. And will life on through the great things she has done for our great country.

Dr.Kass was an inspiration and guiding light when I was completing my MEd.Her contributions were many and valued. My sincere sympathy is extended to her family.

Canadian science education benefited substantially from Heidi's determination and independent thinking. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Had always wondered what had happened to Heidi and now seeing she passed away in Vancouver can understand. Her involvement with Edmonton science teachers, the Edmonton Regional Science Fair etc. was always appreciated.

Deepest sympathy to you, Ann, from Alex and me. Hugs.
