ALLGEIER, Helen "Lynn" Marie Barnes, 60, died Monday, December 22, 2008 at Johnston-Willis Hospital. Mrs. Allgeier served as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Richmond and was a volunteer at The Shepherd's Place in Hopewell and at Brighter Living Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Lee Jr. and Helen Head Barnes. She is survived by her husband of 38 and½years, Jerome P. Allgeier; a son, Paul Michael Allgeier and wife, Sarah, of Norfolk; a daughter, Teresa Lynn Allgeier of Prince George; grandchildren, William Henry Allgeier and James Michael Allgeier of Norfolk; a twin brother, Harvey Lee Barnes III and wife, Brenda Sue, of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews. She never met a stranger; they were just new friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss Funeral Home. I am so sorry for you loss - especially during the holiday season. I know Lynn is not suffering any longer. Find comfort in knowing that you will always have an angel watching over you. My thoughts are with you and your family.
