Helen Aurentz Obituary

LEBANON Helen Aurentz, 82, passed away in Spang Crest on Friday, March 9, 2012. Helen was married to Richard E. Aurentz in 1948. In another month they would have been married for 64 years. She was born in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Stanley Sr. and Josephine Havenrack Marinkov. Mrs. Aurentz started her career as a teachers aid at South West Elementary School and more recently worked as a receptionist for Cornwall - Lebanon School District, where she retired. She was a graduate of Lebanon High class of 1947. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church where she was a former Trustee. She loved to travel and play cards, especially Penuche. She loved her family and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband; son, Craig R., husband of Wendy Aurentz of Herndon Va.; two grandchildren, Kierston and Corey Aurentz; sister, Anne, wife of Charlie Tomasetti of Leola; brother, Thomas, husband of Linda Marinkov of Linfield, N.H.; and stepsister, Wanda, wife of John Stavros of Auburn, Mass. Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Marinkov, Jr. Graveside services will be held in Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery, Annville, on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Brian Albert, officiating. Contributions may be made in Helen's memory to the Lupus Foundation of America, 218A W. Govenor Road, Hershey, PA 17033.
