DOHERTY FUNERAL SERVICE Obituary

Foster, Helen Audrey (MacLeod)--85, A resident and homemaker of Somerville, for most of her life, and Middleton, NH died on March 16, 2012.

Helen was the beloved wife of the late Herbert F. Foster Sr. and the loving mother of Herbert F. Jr. and his wife Diane of Somerville, Marlene Bouchard and her late husband Henry Chuck of Port St. Lucie FL, and Robin Bouchard of Haverhill. She was the sister of Harold MacLeod and his wife Rose of Newton and the late Robert MacLeod. Helen was also the dear grandmother of Kimberly Foster Hirsch, Katelyn DeGaetano, Ryan Bouchard and the late Scott C. Foster and the great grandmother of Emma and Shaylin Hirsch. Helen was the dear friend of Barbara Grillo.

The funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) in Somerville on Monday morning, March 19, 2012 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church in Somerville at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 18, from 3-7 p.m. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Somerville Visiting Nurse Foundation, 259 Lowell St., Somerville, MA 02144 Attn: Linda Cornell or St. Clement Scholarship Fund in memory of the late Scott C. Foster, 71 Warner St., Medford, MA 02155.

She was such a dear friend to my mother. She was such a fun lady. Mom missed her dearly when she passed. I will always remember her for being there for my mom and how she made her laugh.
