Helen Harris, 96, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2017. She was born in Canadian, Texas on March 27, 1921.
Helen worked many years for the Ben McGuire Company helping to change the skyline of Houston. In 1985, she went to work for Wells Fargo in the loan escrow department until her retirement at age 75.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held for Helen at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Philip Presbyterian Church, 4807 San Felipe, Houston, Texas 77056

What a joy to be with Helen Harris in the last year of her life! She was always a gracious hostess when I came by to visit. She loved her family and loved to review the pages of their lives in the photo books that were always nearby. I just wish I had known her during the earlier years of her fascinating and productive life. "Gentle Ben" is an enduring reminder to adopt her attitude toward life ever day that God grants.
