Hewitt R. Leonard, 82, a 1-year Akron, Ohio, area resident, a native of Evergreen, Alabama, U.S. Armed Forces veteran, and a machine operator at Briggs & Stratton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2000, from Akron City Hospital. Friends may call on Friday, September 22, 2000, 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon, at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto, Akron. Services will be officiated by Brother Gary Harris.
