From all the community at FordFE.com, Hollis is sorely missed. He was a walking encyclopedia on the 63/63-1/2 Ford Galaxies, the Ford FE engine and others, and the T85-OD transmission, as well as many other facets of Ford vehicles and powertrains. My condolences to Hollis' wife and family. They have lost a truely remarkable man. I served with Hollis for 7 years in the Army Reserve at Camp Parks beginning in 2001. He was always willing to help out. He will be missed.

Although we only met a few times in person through car shows, I considered Hollis a friend. My best to the family in this tough time, I so wish it wasn't his time to go. He was a patriot, a hero, and a humble gentleman.

Hollis was my neighbor for a number of years, a good, gracious and humble man who made a difference in many people's lives. He will be sorely missed.

I never knew Hollis but we both visited the same automotive forum. I remember him posting once about the wild fires he was fighting a few years ago and how he impressed me as a man. His commitment to people he didn't know said volumes about the man. God bless Hollis, rest in peace (except when you are a puttin the pedal to the metal). You are truly someone others should try to emulate.
