Not sure what to say?

I enjoy many fond memories of Roland doing payroll during our Dixie Furniture Company days together, and also of Virginia teaching World History at Lexington Senior High School. My sincere sympathy and prayers to all of their family. With love and condolences, Frank Leonard, Lexington, NC

I will truly miss my friend but he's no longer in pain. I am grateful he would share his memories with me while working on his computer. I enjoyed answering his questions about technology and he would tolerate me asking for another story. I really wish he would have written his memoirs for the world to know what a fascinating life he led. He was a very kind and gentle soul.

Roland was an amazing person. He was kind and thoughtful, hardworking, and a great neighbor. His devotion to his wife, Virginia, when she was alive was the stuff dreams are made of for relationship goals. That he found love again with his dear Laura was so sweet and he always felt he was the luckiest man alive. He was always bragging on his son and grandsons. He was so proud of them. I will miss him and our talks. I loved him dearly.

A wonderful man..he was a patient of ours and we loved having him come in...prayers for all

I had the pleasure of growing up from childhood to adulthood at church and school with Mr. And Mrs. Roland Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a gentleman and Mrs. Gibson was a genteel lady. I was fortunate to have Mrs. Gibson as a teacher in the Lexington City School system. I always found the Gibsons to be dedicated staunch members of 2nd Presbyterian Church. My condolences to the family, they will surely be missed.

In the years we have known Roland, we have come to think of him as extended family. I hope this wonderful story teller penned some of his history and memories. He was a prince among men to My husband and myself. He was fine and a gentleman as well as a soldier. He lived a full life and he loved Laura who was his special and devoted friend. Many shall miss Roland. This family of Wright's will too. See you in the morning, Sir!

Roland assisted me in folding bulletins for the church. He was a kind and gentle person. We had some wonderful conversations. My condolences to the family

Mr. Gibson was a very kind gentleman. I took care of Virginia for several years at Lexington Health Care but had not seen him since moving away to Mt.Airy.Please accept my condolences.
