Many years ago Howard and I would get together and talk begonias when he came to town for business. He compiled an enormous, comprehensive begonia hybrid checklist that I use constantly. I mourn his loss, he will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences to his family.

Along with the rest of the family, I mourn the loss of a good friend for the past 30 years. I always looked forward to our monthly lunches at the Deli on High Ridge Rd., sometimes with Julie and sometimes with our mutual friend and fellow expert Charlie Porten. We had so much fun talking about old times,current events, and politics. Howard was a remarkable person, always calm, never angry and always truthful. He will be missed by all who knew him.
