Ida M. Russak

Ida M. Russak, 89 of Hastings-on-Hudson died December 28, 2010. She was born in Yonkers to Anthony and Maria Giannelli. After her marriage to Alex Russak on Sept. 14, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers, they settled in Hastings-on-Hudson. Ida worked for the telephone company for many years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Ida was the past president of the Busy Bees Senior Group in Hastings. In 1990 she was inducted into the Westchester County Senior Citizens Hall of Fame for all her work with the senior group. Ida was a parishioner of the Church of St. Matthew and was a member of the Altar Society. Surviving are her two sons and their wives; Robert and Anne Russak, Donald and Roseann Russak, four grandchildren Robert Jr., Lauren, Matthew Russak and Stephanie St. Cyr and two brothers Joseph and Frank Giannelli. She was predeceased by her husband in 1997 and by four sisters; Angela, Tina, Josephine and Emma. Mass of the Resurrection Friday 10:00 A.M. Church of St. Matthew. Visiting Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
