Oma embodied the expression “Youthful Spirit”. She lived everyday to the fullest, always embraced the opportunity to make a new friend and always had time to lend you her ear. She loved her family and never hesitated to let them (or anyone else willing to listen) know how much she did. We will miss Oma so much- she was a wonderful Grandma with whom I shared the most marvelous memories of trips, graduations, visits, watching ball games and just talking to her on the phone. Oma lived a full and productive life. She gave the world four wonderful children and instilled in them the values necessary to raise happy and healthy families, which they all did. She remained an integral part of her children's lives, her grandchildren's lives, and even her great-grandchildren's lives until the end.

I was lucky to have known and loved her for 40 years and luckier still that she chose to know and love me for those same 40 years.
