Jack MATHEWS Obituary

MATHEWS, Jack Wayne 75, formerly of Parma, OH passed away peacefully on May 28, 2013. He was born in Cleveland, OH and moved to Largo in 1989. He loved cruising, boating and gardening. He was a member of Paradise Lutheran Church in Treasure Island. Jack was involved for years with the Boy Scouts of America as a troop leader in Ohio. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him. Mr. Mathews was predeceased by his father, Harry and a sister Hilda Ruth. Survivors include his loving mother, Ruth Madeline Mathews; brother, Dave Mathews (Carol); son, William Mathews; and a granddaughter, Ana Mathews. Public visitation hours will be held on Tuesday June 4th, 1-3 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel, Largo, 727-562-2080. Reverend John Thompson of Paradise Lutheran Church will conduct a service at 3 pm at the funeral home. He will be returned to Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Hinckley, OH for burial. A Memorial service will be held at Paradise Lutheran Church in Treasure Island at a later date. For information please call the church at 727-360-5739.
