Jacqueline (Marble) Bennett, 70, formerly of 44 Congress St., Rochester, died Sunday morning, August 27, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Rochester, on July 9, 1936, the daughter of Harold Marble and Violet (Wiggen) Marble, Jackie lived most of her life in the Rochester area. She was a homemaker who relished spending time with her family. Her passions included serving God and others, watching the Boston Red Sox with her beloved husband, the Focus Group to which she belonged, and her many friendships. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Rochester.
She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Philip Bennett of Rochester, her two sisters, Marion Charles of Chapel Hill, NC, and Elaine Day of Rochester; her son, Philip H. Bennett of Dover, her 6 daughters – Violet Young of Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., Patricia Meattey of New Durham, Elaine Pitarus of Manchester, Christine Rogers of New Durham, Tammy Ricker of Berwick, Me., and Terrie Bertrand of Farmington; fifteen grandchildren – Jerry Workman of Troy, Pa, Jamie Workman of Kirkwood, Pa, Reginald Meattey Jr., of New Durham, Dr. Heath Meattey of Boston, Ma, Nicole Begin of Manchester, Matthew Begin of Newmarket, Jordanna Whiten of Manchester, Calvin McCrillis of Minot, ND, Cory, Amanda, and Maxine Ricker of Berwick, Saige and Myles Bennett of Dover, Sheldon Rogers of New Durham, and Eryn Bertrand of Farmington; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents and her beloved daughter-in-law, Brenda (Doubleday) Bennett.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday 6-8pm at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm in the chapel of the funeral Home with pastor Stephen Poole as officiant.
Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery following the service
