Not sure what to say?

To the Hanford Family: I just heard of Jim's passing and am sorry I didn't know sooner. I accompanied him on the guitar at the talent show and enjoyed interesting conversations with him as he walked his friendly dog. He was an interesting friendly man....one of a kind, and though you miss his physical presence I am sure he is well taken care of in his transformed life and will watch over you until you see him again. Sincerely, Mark Abler

Nylah, I just found out about the passing of Jim & am so very sorry.
Will never forget Our times in Norfolk, all the tapes we listen to of Grams & all the Blessings he bestoed on me. My Love & God's Blessings are with you, Tony, Michele, & the rest of the Family. Love Susan McClellan Reed.

Nylah & family, it is with sadness that I write having heard of Jim's death. Memories go way back over 70 years to grade school days. Jim was a fun, friendly, ever cheerful and kind classmate. I'm glad we 3 got to visit two years ago at our 60th reunion. May find memories bring you comfort . God bless you & give you peace.

To Jim Hanford's family. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked on the Beacon and Jim's contributions were very special to me and other readers unfamiliar with Michigan. We will miss him. Ann Schimelpfenig, neighbor and coworker.

To Nyla and Family: We shall dearly miss your beloved husband and father. He was a great neighbor and friend. May he rest in peace.
With sympathy, love and prayers,
Jim and Sheila Giroux
