James "Trader Jim" Jagiello was born on March 29, 1944, to Mary and Edmund Jagiello. He grew up in Buffalo, Depew, and eventually Lancaster, NY, where he met his future wife and love of his life, Mary Danks. Mary and Jim graduated from Lancaster High School in 1962. Jim continued his lifelong love of classic and custom cars, and of salesmanship, eventually opening his own business on Genesee near Transit Road in Bowmansville. Jim and Mary were married in 1975, and in 1976 they had their first daughter, Mary Catherine (named after her grandmothers). Their daughter Janis (named after Janis Joplin) was born in 1978, and their son Eddy (named after his grandfathers) was born in 1983. Through the years, James worked in real estate and at various car dealerships. Before his recent illness, Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, creating custom cars, and visiting beaches in warmer weather. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
