Roberta, GA- James C. Roach, 61, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pat Cramer officiating. The family will meet friends on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Roach was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James Ira and Mozelle Roach. He was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Howell. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Roach was very active in AA for the past twenty years and enjoyed western movies and facebook. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Jeanette D. Roach of Roberta, son, Skip Jenkins of Macon, daughters, Deena (David) Becham of Lizella, Cheryl (Russell) Wimberly of Macon, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Hazel Parker of Roberta, Jackie (Alvin) Sapp of Dry Branch, Wynette Graham of Montrose and several nieces and nephews.

Daddy I sure do miss you tonight. My heart is so broken I'm trying really hard to stay strong for mama but I just want to curl up in her arms and cry. I know I sound like a huge baby but you were my rock. I know I wasn't at family functions a lot but we had our own times our own communication you were always there when nobody else could be or I didn't want to stress mom. What do I do now nights like this when I'm breaking. I missed so much of you and mom and its hurting me I just wish I could have been the kid that stood up for what she wanted but I was scared. I love you and miss you so

Nett and James' family, I just don't know what to say, other than that I can't believe he is gone from this earth. He was such a special and complex man who always put your problems before his own. We had a real good talk before he went in the hospital. He always wanted me to keep in touch with you and do what I could for you..to help you if you needed anything. He took a bright light with him when he left us but we'll see him again. I love you both and anything I can do for you, just ask. God will give you strength to get through losing him just as James gave you the same to get through the last few difficult years with your health. So hang in there Girl, God has a plan..just like I told James and he agreed. I got cheated out of my last bear hug but I'll remember the ones I got. I Love You , Wife-in-Law. My prayers are with you and the family.

What a loss, this is. Central Georgia has lost a good man, part of a generation the likes of which this world will never see again. Rest in Peace James. Our prayers for strength and comfort to all of the family he loved so much.

I knew James from AA and listened carefully when he shared his experience strength and hope in the program. He never missed the chance to add humor to his comments concerning our common problem. He struck me always as a man who knew who he was and was content with himself. I hope this comment will be of some benefit to James's family, who, are in my thoughts at this time of their loss.

Billy and I were so sorry to hear of James' passing. I truly thought he would beat this and we would get to see him again. I have another hole in my heart today. He was my uncle and my friend, and I loved him like a brother.
