Jane Brown Cantrell, of Florala passed away Wednesday May 25, 2022. She was born November 20, 1957 in Monroeville, AL the daughter of Curtis O Brown and Marjoie Riggs Brown. Jane worked in interior designs owning and operating Chicadee Interior Decorating. Jane enjoyed gardening, loved her Auburn Tigers and her beloved dog and 7 cats that had a special place in her heart. Her biggest legacy , however was the immeasurable mark she left on her husband, mother, children, and her grandchildren. Known to them as Jane, mom, Janie, Janie Bird and Byrdie, she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Jane was preceded in death by father, Curtis O Brown.
She is survived by husband, Johnny Cantrell, mother, Marjoie Riggs Brown, son, Trent Ellsworth and wife Emily, daughter, Wendy Herring and husband Daniel, brothers, Al Brown and wife Claudia and Lee Brown and wife Dianne, sisters, Gwyn Pirnie and husband Bob and Sistie Brown, grandchildren, Sawyer Ellsworth, Addy Ellsworth, Theo Ellsworth, Samuel Herring, Courtney Herring, Raylee Herring, Cameron Cantrell and Kaydenn Cantrell.
Funeral service for Jane Brown Cantrell will be 3PM Saturday May 28, 2022 at Cluster Springs Baptist Church with Billy Barton officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

I loved Jane. ❤ She was so kind and considerate to everyone. Also, very talented: could sew, cook, decorate, etc. She loved her animals. Such a sweet girl.

I am so sad to hear we lost Jane. I loved her so much and will cherish the memories from holidays with her, our church confirmations, and especially the Iron Bowls (I still bleed crimson & white and Jane was all orange and blue)! Jane and Gwyn never minded this tall Bama fan sitting in the middle of their Auburn seats. The other fans might have but we were family and I knew Jane and Gwyn had my back.

What a blessing it was to know you and to call you my friend. Your love for animals drew us together. I will never forget you Jane! My heart was broken to hear that you left us. My heart is also broken because I am not there to say goodbye to you.
