Jane Tate Obituary
Jane was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Ruth and Eldon Webster on March 19, 1945. She grew up in the small town of Red Wing, Minnesota. Jane studied English and Art at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She met her husband, Wallace, while teaching high school English in Michigan. They were married in Red Wing in 1968. After giving birth to her daughter Marianne, and her son David, they moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1973.
Jane continued to teach in Mesa at Kino Jr. High, positively affecting the lives of middle school children over the years. Jane was a loving daughter, mother and wife. Her passions included hiking, swimming, gardening and painting. Some of her favorite subjects to paint were Native Americans, whom she held a high regard for throughout her life. Jane was known for her charismatic personality, contagious laughter, and homemade oatmeal cookies.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Wallace, her mother Ruth, and her father Eldon.
Jane is survived by her daughter Marianne, son David, and brother James.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Jane will be held on Saturday, February 3, at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, Arizona, from 12 to 2 PM.

I worked with Jane at Kino where I was a counselor. She was one of my all time favorite teachers. Her passion for helping struggling students was so inspiring. Her students knew she adored them! She was one of those teachers that went WAY above and beyond to help them be successful. I will always remember Jane's smile. Sending warm wishes to her family.
