Mr. Jeffery Gray Royall, 50, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Royall was born August 18, 1966 in Yadkin County to Hubert and Vivian Pardue Royall. He was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church and worked as a detective for the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Jeff was an avid hunter, enjoyed riding four-wheelers, and was the owner and founder of Backwoods Hunt Club Inc. His greatest joys were his children and grandson. Jeff was a loving son, father, grandfather, fiancée, stepfather, brother, and friend. He was a selfless man who always put the wellbeing of others first.
Mr. Royall was preceded in death by a son, Colson Gage Royall. In addition to his parents, Jeff is survived by his children, Channing (Mallory) Royall, Brianna Royall, and Isabella Royall; grandson, Cannon Gray; fiancée, Breanne Elias and her son, Justin; one sister, Cary (Tim) Disher; one brother, Mark (Amy) Royall; two special uncles, Terry Pardue and Shannon Pardue; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, June 26, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor George Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Haven Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Scott Moncus and the members of the Hunt Club for their loyal friendship to Jeff and his family during this difficult journey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the college fund for Cannon Gray at any State Employees Credit Union branch.
