RICHFORD – Jeremy E. Ryea, age 15, passed away Saturday August 21, 2004 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington as the result of an accident.
He was born March 27, 1989 in St. Albans the son of Jennifer Manosh & Roger Ryea.
Jeremy was high on life, a free spirit. He lived each day like there was no tomorrow. He was the type of person to keep busy and was not afraid to work. From the age of 11 he could always be seen working right next to his Papa. He was very mechanically inclined; if something around the house needed to be fixed he was right there with a helping hand. He also helped his bus driver, Cookie Adams haying; his neighbor Frannie Whitney sugaring; and David & Dolly Woods milking. One of his greatest loves was to go riding on his four-wheeler or dirt bike and being with his closest friends, they were Dusty Jacobs, Jeff Billado, Earl Paquette and Phillip Gregoire and he held many other friends dear to his heart. Jeremy was entering the 10th grade at Richford High School where he played soccer, skied and went to basketball games to support his friends especially Kris Gendron and Andy Derby. Jeremy was a warm hearted all outgoing and respectful person and touched many peoples lives and how we will go on without him is the unknown.
His love for his family was unconditional, he is survived by his mother and step father, Jennifer & Mitchell Martin; his father and step mother, Roger & Lee Ann Ryea of Montgomery; his brothers, Joshua & Brandon; his sisters, Megan & Rebecca; a step sister Tiffany all of Richford; his step brothers, Michael & Matthew Ryea of Montgomery; his maternal grandmother, Theresa (Manosh) Bolt of Richford; his paternal grandmother, Gloria (Shover) Gagnon and her husband Gerard of Dracut, MA.; a very special girl friend, Sonia Brazil of Richford; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Bear He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Bruce Bolt on April 17th, 2004 which devastated him more than anyone will know. Also, his paternal grandfather, Ira Ryea.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon August 24, 2004 at 2:00 at the Richford Baptist Church with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will follow in the Richford Center Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Monday evening from 7-9 at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St. Richford, VT.

Gloria and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Jeremy's tragic death. There's nothing worse than losing a child. Sorry I couldn't be there for the funeral but my love and prayers are with all of you. God has bigger plans for Jeremy, and I hope you'll take comfort from that.
