Jimmy Nathaniel Ballard, a resident of Hartford, died Dec. 14, 2005, at his residence. He was 64.

Funeral services will be graveside at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 16, at Sunset Memorial in Geneva with the Rev. Gary Stringfellow and Dr. Ralph Brannon officiating.

Mr. Ballard worked with the TV Cable Co. for 22 years before retiring in Geneva.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James V. Ballard and Flora G. Byrd Ballard; two brothers, Lee Ballard and Lomax Ballard; and one sister, Elizabeth Maninger.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Ballard of Hartford; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Will Crocker of Hartford; one granddaughter, Claire Crocker of Hartford; two brothers, Troy (Shirley) Ballard of Bellwood and Winford (Judy) Ballard of Bellwood; two sisters, Velma Brakin of Chancellor and Louise (Rufus) Leddon of Geneva; one sister-in-law, Frankie Jones of Geneva.

Bottoms-Garden Chapel in Geneva, (334) 684-2982, is in charge of arrangements.
